Role Summary

Design, develop, test and continuously improve DOCIME. The role combines strong software engineering with practical integration of AI services for document reading, classification, extraction, verification, workflow automation and enterprise integrations.

Experience

3–5 years relevant software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Design secure, scalable frontend and backend DOCIME capabilities.
Develop APIs, services, workflows, connectors and integrations.
Integrate OCR, document intelligence and generative AI services.
Build document classification and extraction capabilities.
Implement validation and human-verification workflows.
Build cloud, email, messaging and enterprise integrations.
Maintain data models and tenant-aware application services.
Write maintainable, testable production code.
Develop unit, integration, regression and automated functional tests.
Investigate defects and prevent regressions.
Improve performance, security, scalability and observability.
Troubleshoot development, test and production issues.
Support releases and production diagnostics.
Maintain engineering documentation.
Evaluate relevant emerging AI technologies.

Essential Skills

3–5 years hands-on software engineering experience.
Python.
API/backend frameworks such as FastAPI or equivalent.
REST APIs.
Relational databases.
Secure application development.
Software testing/debugging.
Git and CI/CD.
Modern web/SaaS development.

Preferred

React / Next.js.
Azure AI.
Azure OpenAI.
Azure AI Document Intelligence.
AWS AI/document services.
OCR / intelligent document processing.
Multi-tenant SaaS.
RBAC and audit logging.
Playwright or equivalent E2E testing.

Education / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
